Complete Interior Architecture & Design, Development & Project Management

To build a stunning extension with a glass walkway to studios over the existing garage maintaining the existing façade of the house built five years earlier.  The original house was built in an old quarry, so we had many challenges to overcome from the original build, which sadly is more common than not.

The design briefed was to create calming yet luxurious interiors for a growing family but remembering this is not the clients forever home.  The house benefited from some modern designs to interconnect the extensions, for example the double sided fireplace from the drawing room to the library.

New lighting design was so important to enhance the furnishings incorporating back lighting to the shelves in the library, bespoke chandelier in the landing hanging from top of landing through to the entrance hall and soft up-lighting in the apex of the ceilings which is vital to any good design.

The height and angles of the ceilings required us to design unique solutions so that we could fit in the furniture suited for a Master Bedroom, so we positioned a half false wall as you entered the Master Bedroom where the dressing table sits as you enter, with the Master Bed fitted on the opposite side.

This solution was not just about the beauty and privacy but also the practicality of being able to get in and out of bed without hitting your head on the ceiling.
