This project on Pharaoh’s Island, Surrey, transformed an historic residence, untouched since the 1950s, into a luxurious retreat. Gifted to Admiral Lord Nelson in 1798, the renovation honoured the home’s historical significance while integrating modern luxury, including coastal and nautical themes, Marvel and Batman elements, and a grand piano placement. Challenges included innovative engineering for the pool, a new roof structure requiring barge-transported scaffolding, and comprehensive waste removal. Advanced remote control systems optimised energy use and security, addressing sustainability and resilience against natural disasters. The result is a harmonious blend of history, modernity, and personalised style.
